Right on! Really fun material and the voices to make the charts come
to life… great presentation! Gene Puerling
WELCOME TO CLOCKWORK
This award-winning vocal quartet delights audiences with their unmistakable sound and style in a program of richly diverse musical genres. They entertain through the great songs of the jazz standards, be-bop and blues, influenced by the legendary jazz vocal groups such as New York Voices, The HiLos, Singers Unlimited and Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, and also bring their own interpretation to pop and rock songs. The result: a fresh and entertaining new interpretation of the jazz vocal ensemble.
Clockwork performs in a variety of configurations including a cappella quartet, singers + acoustic bass, singers + bass and drums, and singers + an 18 piece big band.

February 2009 - Maui Tour
Our tour to Maui was amazing, with hardly any down time for us Clockworkers. No tans for this group. We kicked off the week with rehearsals and a live performance on Mana'o Radio with Bob Harrison joining us on bass. Thanks, Babalou and Don! We have a copy of the show and will figure out how to post it, or pod-cast it, or something like that soon. Friday and Saturday were devoted to rehearsing with the Olinda choir and prepping for the memorial service for Juliet's dad, Pat Green. It was such a lovely tribute and full of great music and food. Joining us on some jazz tunes for the service were Mike Buono on drums, Doug White on bass and Gene Argel on piano. Then on to Sunday with a church service in the most beautiful setting you can imagine and our own concert in the afternoon, with Mike Buono and Bob Harrison. Monday was a day of performing for and working with the middle and high school choirs at Seabury Hall, Juliet's alma mater. Our adventures are recorded in detail on our blog, if you'd like to read more about the trip. We had some nice press too! Here's a link to an article in the Maui Weekly about us coming to the island by Paul Janes-Brown, and a review in the Maui News of our Sunday concert by Ron Youngblood. We're invited back, and looking forward to it!
January 2009 - New York: a conference and a Birdland surprise ...
The APAP conference, which is huge, a ton of work and a great place to network, was the reason for going to New York City in the middle of winter, so we did. And since we were already there to do a showcase, along with fabulous drummer friend Tim Bulkley and our new bassist friend, also fabulous, Ben Campbell, we cabbed on over to Birdland on our last Monday night to sit in for Jim Caruso's Cast Party. This is like Ultimate Open Mic, and a real treat of a show. Jim Caruso is a fantastic entertainer and host, not to be missed if you're in NYC on a Monday night. Well. Jon Hendricks happened to be there! Read all about our awesome encounter on our blog page. It truly was a moment in time we will always treasure.
December 2008 - Seattle Tour
We spent a week up in the Seattle area and had a fantastic trip. 3 performances in 2 days, despite the weather, battling the snowy, icy forecast and still had lovely audiences. We'll be back in the summer! We had the opportunity to hang out with some of our friends and family up in the Seattle area, and that is always a good time. Thank you to everyone who came out to hear us through the sleet, snow and rain ... pah! What's a little weather ... Met up with our friend Richard Greene of "The Bobs" and sang a tune with him at their gig at the Triple Door. Spent two days in the recording studio with Mark Ivester and Clipper Anderson, recording rhythm tracks for the new CD, and THAT was and is exciting stuff. All in all, it was a great trip. There are some new photos in our Photo Gallery as well. More soon ...
September 2008 - What's next for Clockwork?
We've spent the summer learning a pile of new tunes, getting ready for gigs in the Bay Area during November and in Seattle this coming December, and spending time at a couple of regional booking conferences. Although folks around our home town haven't heard much from us in the past few months, we're busy, busy and still here. We'll be recording rhythm tracks this December while we're up in Seattle with bassist Clipper Anderson and drummer Mark Ivester. We expect to have the new CD by late winter/early spring. Stay tuned! More details and photos are now posted on our blog.
